Looking After Your Basket
Your Lullaby Nest basket is made from 100% natural cotton and will last for years with the right care. Follow these simple guidelines to keep it looking and feeling beautiful.
Hand wash your moses basket in cool water (30°C or below) using a mild, baby-safe detergent.
Alternatively, you may machine wash on a delicate/gentle cycle at 30°C. Place the basket inside a large mesh laundry bag to protect the weave.
Do not use bleach or fabric softener, as these can weaken the natural cotton fibres.
Rinse thoroughly to remove all detergent residue.
Always lay your basket flat to dry on a clean, dry surface. Do not hang, as this can distort the shape.
Allow to dry fully in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
Do not tumble dry — heat will shrink and damage the natural cotton.
Ensure the basket is completely dry before use to prevent any moisture build-up.
The removable cotton mattress cover can be machine washed at 40°C.
The foam mattress insert should be spot-cleaned only with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not submerge in water.
Allow the mattress to air dry fully before replacing the cover.
When not in use, store your basket in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Avoid storing in plastic bags — natural cotton needs to breathe.
A cotton storage bag or pillowcase is ideal for long-term storage.
Avoid placing the basket in direct sunlight for extended periods, as this can cause the natural cotton to fade.
If the basket loses its shape slightly after washing, gently reshape it by hand while still damp.
With proper care, your Lullaby Nest basket will remain beautiful for years to come — and may even be passed down to the next little one.
Always use the basket on a firm, flat surface.
Never leave your baby unattended in the basket.
The basket is suitable for newborns up to approximately 9kg or when your baby can push up on their hands and knees.
Always use a firm, flat mattress that fits snugly with no gaps around the edges.
